Coastal Premier Properties Pet Policy
Properties allowing pets are limited to housebroken dogs only. The rental rate will increase by at least an additional $200.00 + tax per pet as a nonrefundable fee on all reservations allowing a pet. Tenant agrees to disclose the breed, weight, and condition of each pet and agrees that the Agent may refuse to allow pet occupancy on these grounds. A pet of any kind on the premises, including exterior, decks, garages, etc. of a non-pet friendly Property is absolutely prohibited and is grounds for expedited eviction of the entire party and forfeiture of all monies paid as provided in the NCVRA. Tenant understands and agrees that a violation of the pet policy will result in fees of not less than $500.00 and include costs associated with pest control, carpet cleaning or replacement, furniture cleaning or replacement. Proof of pet removal must be provided by the Tenant when violation has occurred if occupancy is to continue. Tenants with authorized pets understand and agree to properly clean the property prior to departure/checkout. Tenant is advised that local ordinances require pets to be leashed on the beach and for excrements to be removed from the beach by the owner. Under no circumstances shall the Tenant be relieved of responsibility for damages caused by pets, irrespective of additional fees rendered for the privilege of bringing a pet.
Town of Surf City Pet Ordinance
It shall be unlawful for any owner of a dog to permit the dog to run at large or be off the premises of its owner and not under the restraint of a competent person. Restraint of a competent person shall be a leash in the physical control of such person and not exceed twenty (20) feet in length. Having a trained dog under voice command will not be considered as a restraint. Upon an animal control officer’s observation of a dog running at large or off the premises of its owner and not under the control of a competent person, the officer may, at his discretion, impound the dog or return it to its owner. Upon the animal control officer’s receipt of a complaint that a dog is running at large or is off the premises of its owner and not under the control of a competent person, the officer shall investigate the complaint and, upon a finding that there is probable cause that a violation has occurred, the officer may issue a citation or a warning or take any other action provided for by this chapter or any state law as the circumstances may require.
Town of North Topsail Beach Pet Ordinance
Dogs must be on a leash and under the control of the owner at all times. While being walked or exercised off the premises or property of the owner or custodian, the dog must be restrained by a leash connected to a collar or harness, sufficient to restrain the dog from breaking loose. The leash is not to be longer than twenty-five (25) feet in length (retractable).
It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure that all excrement is immediately removed and placed in the proper receptacle. Please do not leave animals locked in unattended vehicles with no provisions or climate control, as it is detrimental to their health. Cruel and inhumane treatment of animals will result in the responsible party being charged with applicable violations.

Town of Topsail Beach Pet Ordinance
All dogs must be on a leash when off its own property limits from the period between May 15 through September 30 of each year. Additionally, all dogs must be on a leash from April 1 through September 30 of each year in the area designated as Coastal Barrier Resources System (CBRS) Unit L07 by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service and as clearly marked by the Town. Voice control shall not be recognized as an authorized method of restraint.
It is the responsibility of a dog’s owner or custodian to clean up their dog’s feces from any public or private property outside of their own property limits. These properties are to include, but not be limited to beaches, rights-of-way, paths and public access areas.
